SWA is happy to announce the newest member of the team - Dwayne Dreher. Dwayne’s title will be Executive director for SWA and will be taking on a large work load and helping the SWA with a multitude of tasks moving forward. We are happy to have Dwayne on the team.
Dwayne’s Bio:
My background as an athlete is in amateur wrestling. Throughout the 80s, I competed in high school, and with the University of Regina Cougars, from 85-89. In 1989, I graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Physical Activity Studies degree, major in Sport Administration.
For almost 30 years, I have been involved in non profit sport organizations in the province, such as Judo, Wrestling, Squash and Gymnastics. I also worked for Bobsleigh Canada, 2007-13, as the Finance Manager/Operations Manager.
I feel that my athletic and administrative background prepares me well for the challenging position of Executive Director. I am appreciative of this opportunity, and look forward to working with the membership to further the development of one of the Olympic Games original sports
