Dear SWA Members,
As many of you are aware this past year has been filled with many changes, some of which have been communicated well & others that have not. This has lead to a significant amount of unrest & confusion within the membership. We would like to take this opportunity to assure you that we are working hard behind the scenes, & have a number of exciting changes coming in the near future. Due to confidentiality we cannot speak directly to a lot of what has happened, but we acknowledge that many of you are feeling left out, unheard, & full of questions that you would like answered. To help begin to rebuild trust & work towards a more cohesive & collaborative SWA the Board of Directors would like to invite you, the SWA membership, to join us in October (details to-be-announced soon) for a mediated town hall meeting where we will discuss what has happened over the past year & what the future holds for the SWA. This is your opportunity to voice your concerns, ask questions, provide feedback, & hear more about what the Board of Directors is working on.
We appreciate your patience over the coming weeks as we work to finalize details on the meeting. In the meantime, we would also like to encourage you to reach out to the Board whenever you have questions or concerns. We will be able to accomplish much more together than apart, so please reach out & help us shape the SWA into an organization that we can all be proud of.
