2021/2022 MEMBERSHIP FEES

https://saskweightlifting.com/swa-memberships/swa-membership-2kpwj-mhs83

Membership fees have increased in the following categories, effective September 1, 2021:

·     Senior - $ 80 (from $ 60)

·     Master - $ 80 (from $ 60)

·     Junior - $ 50 (from $ 30)

·     Youth - $ 50 (from $ 30)

·     Coach - $ 50 (from $ 30)

·     Official - $ 50 (from $ 30)

The fee increase is due in large part to the substantial increase by the Canadian Federation of its fee per registered member charged to each of the provinces.

Historically, the Canadian Federation has charged each province $ 1.75 per registered member. This fee will be increasing to at least $ 20.00 per registered member starting in the 2021/22 season.

Note:

·     The Affiliate membership category fee has not changed. It will remain at $ 25.00

·     The family discount of $ 5.00 per additional family still applies

SWA Membership Fee Breakdown

Each category fee can be broken down into the following:

·     Canadian Federation Fee (at least $ 20)

·     $ 5 goes to the SWA Accident Insurance Program

The remainder of the fee goes towards SWA programs and services.

SWA Online Membership Form

As in previous years, members are encouraged to register and pay online through the SWA Website.

Please pay particular attention when filling out the membership form for the following:

The individual is not required to fill out this section however, this information collected by the SWA, is important for reporting to Sask Sport, as well as to the SWA in registering members for its competitions.

The SWA added this section asking individuals if they identify as a visible minority. The individual can check yes, no, or I prefer not to answer.

Member Questions

As you may have noticed this season, the SWA added a list of questions for members to answer in the online form. Unfortunately, this section was not completed very often.

Many of the SWA’s Training Centers ask similar questions as part of their annual registration process, providing weekly member profiles through their social media accounts.

The SWA’s goal is to build a sense of community within the weightlifting community, from the youngest lifter to the oldest master.
